Boko haram in the north of Cameroon

Boko Haram fighters conducted six simultaneous attacks and probably coordinates in the extreme north of Cameroon on Sunday. The army claims to have repelled men in Nigeria. At least three people were killed.
Boko Haram has struck again. The group of Islamic fighters conducted near-simultaneous attacks, Sunday, Nov. 9, against six communities in northern Cameroon, marking a further escalation of violence along the border with Nigeria. At least three civilians were killed.

"It was probably coordinated attacks, as Boko Haram had armored vehicles," said a source in the Cameroonian Ministry of Defence on condition of anonymity, adding that the Cameroonian army had repulsed the attackers territory Nigerian. This is the first time that the Cameroonian authorities report such actions "program" Boko Haram on their soil.

Among the areas covered are Kolofata Fotokol and two Cameroonian cities under high tension, where Boko Haram has stepped up attacks and kidnappings in recent months. The overall balance of these attacks "is certainly heavy", especially on the side of Boko Haram, "but remains indeterminate" for the moment, the source said.
