MOROCCO_CAF 2015

Facing the new request to postpone the CAN-2015 made by Morocco Saturday, November 8, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) now has no choice. In Cairo, where its leaders meet Tuesday, November 11, the supreme body of African football will soon make known its position, while the start of the competition is still scheduled for January 8, 2015.

For the CAF, the options are numerous: the postponement of the competition, its outright cancellation or designation of another organizer. The first of these assumptions would be an ideal solution for Morocco, but the federal government still seems reluctant to consider a postponement.

Contacted by AFP, Junior Binyam, the media director of CAF, reaffirmed the weekend the position of the instance. "Morocco is not the owner of the competition and is therefore not in a position to decide on a postponement," Has he asserts
